Let’s keep healthy and well! Want to be Fit & Fabulous all year long? We are excited to offer you a variety of programs at the Lloyd Memorial Centre, Kingsport! Beginner or more advanced, younger or older, we have something for you! Join us - we have a space reserved just for you!
Strength & Cardio Fitness:
Mon, Wed and Fri: 9-10 a.m. Classes ongoing. A combination of cardio and strength exercises for all ages and abilities. Flexible, non-competitive program, personal or one-on-one support available. Circuit training exercise at Friday class. Drop-in fee: $4.00 a class or $25 for 8 classes. First class free! Instructor: Christine Heap. No class on Wed. Nov 26.
Co-Ed Circuit Training:
New fall program has begun on Tues and Thu 5:30-6:30 p.m. Ongoing. Progress through 12 or more stations in one-minute exercise intervals. Designed for all abilities and ages; co-ed. Drop-in fee $4 or $25 for 8 classes. Instructors Christine Heap and Melanie Amos. No class on Tues. Nov 25.
Yoga:
Two new classes offered. Mon: 10:15-11:15 a.m. Gentle restorative yoga with stretching, balance and breathing, $42 for 6 week session or $7.50 drop-in fee; Mon: 5:30-6:45 p.m. Gentle vinyasa yoga focusing on breath while building strength, balance and flexibility. $45 for a 6-week session or drop-in fee of $10.00 a class.  Next session begins Dec 8. Free Information Session:
Do you or does someone in your family have diabetes? high blood pressure? osteoporosis? Do you know how to make healthy food choices? Can you make sense of food labels?
Join us on Wed. Nov. 12, 2014, 7 p.m. at Lloyd Memorial Centre as Nyssa Lee, Nutrition Graduate and Dietetic Intern and Community Dietitian Sherry Veinotte will explain food labeling as well as what foods to choose to keep us healthy and which ones to avoid if we have a chronic condition.  Question and answer session will follow the presentation.  For more information contact Linda Davidson (582-7903) davidson@xcountry.tv.
