Dear Members and Supporters of the Kingsport Fitness and Wellness Society.
We have now been running for over two years and according to the bylaws of the society, it is time to call our second annual general meeting. This is the time for you, our members, to examine our accounts for the year, and participate in the selection of our new executive. Some of our board members will be stepping down and others will be stepping aside from their current positions. Also during the meeting we will look at what we have accomplished this year, including our expanded programming, grants awarded and, most recently, our very successful plant and bake sale (over $700)!
The date for our AGM is Sunday June 8 at 6pm, Lloyd Memorial Centre, Kingsport. Let's have a Pot Luck Supper, so we all have time to socialise and share ideas informally as well as hold a brief business meeting.
If you would like to sit on next year's executive board, renew your membership, join the society or become more involved in some other way, please contact one of the board members before June 1st.
Membership for the year April 2014- March 2015 remains $5 and entitles you to 10% at Sportchek.

STRENGTH & CARDIO FITNESS:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9 to 10 a.m. A combination of cardio and strength exercises for all ages and abilities. Flexible, non-competitive program, personal or one-on-one support available. Circuit training exercise at Friday class. Drop-in fee: $4.00 a class or $25 for 8 classes. First class free! Instructor: Christine Heap.
CO-ED CIRCUIT TRAINING:
Tuesday & Thursday: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Progress through 12 or more stations in one minute exercise intervals. Designed for all abilities and ages; co-ed. Drop-in fee: $4.00 a class or $25 for 8 classes. First class free! Instructor: Irene Burrell.
Monday: 5:30 - 6:45 p.m. Stretch and Strengthening Yoga. All levels FLOW class. This gentle but invigorating practice will help students gain improved flexibility, balance and strength.
Wednesday: 5:30 - 6:45 p.m. All levels SLOW yoga. In this class we will hold poses longer in a yin style. Supportive props allow the body to gently stretch and relax. New sessions starting May 19th and 21st. Drop-in fee: $10.00 a class. Instructor: Melanie Amos.
Thursday: 9:15 -10:45 a.m. New session beginning May 22nd. Cost $28 for 4-week session. Not for beginners. Drop-ins welcome. Instructor: Jennifer White.
